Sambourne entered the Best Kept Village in Warwickshire on many occasions and has done well in previous years.

Gold Award and a Highly Commended award for the restoration of the War Memorial.

Format of the competition changed from "Best Kept Village" to Best Village".
It was decided not to enter the competition as the format now includes judgment of many facilities not available in Sambourne.
